It's looking pretty even today.
I'm actually pretty shocked there are so many supporters. It's like people think that being the BYU coach is an ordained calling and anyone questioning anything he does or says deserves being condemned and ridiculed.

I thought Oxcoug brought up a lot of valid criticisms and the response resorted to name-calling, chest-pounding and finger-wagging.

I think the criticism can get out of line, but in a large majority of instances they are fair, even if only opinion. Sometimes people are venting their frustration and I'm OK with that. I see that as one of the points of having a fan board.

I also think that overall, our fanbase is EXTREMELY lenient with many obvious coaching blunders. I think any other fanbase would have figuratively run Bronco out of town on a rail by now. But I still think overall the good outweighs the bad so I'm glad for the leniency.

I'm excited for this year. This could be the best team ever. All it would take is a few more lucky bounces, a few less injuries, and a couple less poorly managed games and it could be a really special season. So maybe give credit where it's due. And since Bronco has been a large part of getting the team to a point where it has the chance to be great, kudos to him. I'm glad to have him at the helm.

But when he does make a questionable call, I don't expect everyone to just sit back and say, "He's the coach, he knows better than me. So we blew a three touchdown fourth quarter lead due to poor clock management, I never coached college football, so who am I to second guess?" Is that really what you want from the fanbase? Not me. I want to see fans who are passionate enough about the game that they aren't afraid to show that they care.

But to each his own. Only 6 days away, gentlemen.
