There is going to be plenty of accidents and deaths with autocars. Who pays
for that? Google?

If there is injury, there will be lawsuits. Where there are lawsuits, there will be insurance.

Insurance isn't going away, because the software manufacturer isn't going to foot the bill for every accident/death caused by a software defect and the hardware manufacturer isn't going to pay for every injury that results from poor maintenance.

So would it be the shops fault for not catching that bad wheel bearing during your inspection? Nope.

Insurance isn't going away folks. Accidents will likely go down, but there are going to be an increase in avoidable accidents/deaths due to "automatic" issues that could have easily been avoided with manual controls.

This will be like Vietnam all over again when the Air Force thought removing the gun from a plane was a great idea....because, after all, we have missiles now!
