It's not like your body has an internal timing system and says, "Oh-Ho, it's after 10! Forget converting to energy, everything else I get today is going straight to those thunder thighs!!"
Not that bacon is a fantastic choice, overall, just that your body doesn't know the difference when it comes to the time you consume it.
Of course, you're unlikely to burn it off at that time like you would earlier in the day. But a calorie will only ever be just a calorie. So if you're under your calories for the day, it won't automatically defy the laws of human nature and instantaneously covert to body fat.
