I have one specific problem with how graphics were used last season.
They would setup a clip of an important play and immediately freeze the frame. In that frozen frame, a producer would highlight the player with a big yellow circle.

At this point the hosts would describe what was happening and setup the X's and O's. This is great because I never played football and don't know much about strategy and tactics. What I hated was the stupid yellow circle that obscured the view of surrounding players and how they fit into the scheme. The clip would then be unfrozen and the play over with in a split second. It was very hard to visualize the context around the big plays and what the team did as a whole to help the receivers and backs accomplish what they did.

Say for example, you have Jamaal taking a hand off and hitting a hole in the offensive line, the producers would put the big yellow circle around him obscuring what the line was doing, which is what I really want to see. Jamaal is awesome and all but that play happens because of what the line is doing.
