Grienke better 1st half, Arrieta better 2nd half
This akin to outscoring your opponent 14-3 in the 1st half and then being outscored 31-14 in the 2nd half and claiming you deserved to win because you were "more consistent" by scoring the same number of points in each half. Huh?
When it mattered most Arrieta dominated in a fashion never before seen in the history of the game. For the past 4 months (2/3 of the season) there has been zero doubt who the best pitcher in baseball is. And it doesn't rhyme with skanky.
The season didn't end in June. Same reason football games don't end in the 2nd quarter. For that reason Arrieta is the choice. June through October. Unbelievable.
