you are not the only one with this stance
If decisions were made on program level and football competition only then an argument can be made to try to go Boise and dominate in a weaker conference.

Sometimes I wish Boise BYU Cincinatti Memphis Houston SDSU UCF etc could make a conference of the strongest G5 teams. I think we could compete week in week out with those teams where we may not match up with a P5 schedule. I look at MWC and that schedule is no longer appealing to me.

However, the level of our competitiveness on the field I think has minimal to no sway in the decision process. Money makes the world go round and IMO is the single biggest factor in this decision tree. If financially we were better off in MWC I think we would be there.

Even exposure is a secondary goal IMO. But you can see ByuTv is growing its brand with new programming. So as we get deeper and deeper into independence and have a stronger brand it's going to take much more than the current G5 conferences to attract BYU.

No inside info. Just observation and opinion.
