My son didn't quite have the grades for BYU. He got into BYU-I, but didn't want to go there. He got a legacy scholarship to USU because his grandmother graduated from there. The legacy scholarship is a reduction to in-state tuition for 8 semesters. My understanding is that they give it to anyone who has either parents or grandparents who graduated from there.
