100% agree. Credit Cleveland for hiring high potential Rose as his assistant.
No question that Rose is better suited to be a successful coach than Cleveland.
But let's be clear that Cleveland is a high level visionary, and was big enough to be comfortable in hiring a talented high potential assistant like Rose. We tend to hire down for subordinates. My guess is that Rose continues to have high respect for Cleveland and that Cleveland is pleased with Rose's success as he knows that Rose is at BYU because he was at BYU to hire him.
