Well, let's be real. They do have two advantages:
1) No honor code
2) PAC12 > WCC

To 18 year old athletes, those are no small hurdles for BYU to overcome. I think Krystko is a good basketball coach, but he is kind of a weirdo and his style of basketball is not very fun. I think his style would be possibly fun for athletes like Sharp or Worthington who have no ambition or ability on the offensive end of the court, but certainly not for guys like TJ Haws, Nick Emery, Tyler Haws (could you imagine? lol), etc etc.

But back to the original topic, the U has advantages that attract juco recovery athletes like Delon Wright (what a great success story!) and local guys like Chapman who (I am guessing) might not be as interested in the honor code environment, particularly with the P12 attraction.
