Actually, you're the one who's sadly mistaken
Good grief. I can't even believe this has to be spelled out.

Certainly the show discusses college football across the landscape, but why do you think Gameday travels to different locations each week? Why do you think it's soooo hard to get Gameday to come to your school and then so cool for a school to have Gameday on your campus? The whole idea is to highlight the narratives and the drama of the TWO SCHOOLS playing in the game that day and play up to THOSE fans.

Have you ever watched a Gameday? The crowd is overwhelmingly from either the host school and/or visiting school. Sure, there are some folks who come out from around the region to see the spectacle and then there's the WSU flag that shows up. But to try to insinuate that the Gameday crowd at a given venue even remotely comprises much more the a scant presence of "the average college football fan" is ridiculous. And the fact of the matter is that fans of rival school have found trouble when they go to someone else's campus to whoop it up on Gameday. It's documented. Look it up, and again that wouldn't surprise me if trouble occurs. Dumb idea.

In regard to '09, I guess I don't even recall BYU hosting a Gameday. Perhaps that's because I wasn't living in Utah. But to answer your question I would/do not support the idea of Utes going to Provo. Also a dumb idea.
