Loose lending begats predatory sellers. It's the housing bubble scenario.

If you can realistically pay back the cost of your four year liberal arts BA from a mid-tier private college, they should never give the loan. If would be immoral and illegal for a private lender to make that loan. It shouldn't be different for the government. Cut off the free money buffet and institutions will follow.
