FAGD. They like the CE and feel it is good for their patients and how they want to practice. Though I don't refer much, if I have a patient who needs some significant cosmetic work done post ortho and they are new to the area or don't have a dentist (or one who wants to take it on), I have a couple great guys who have done their AGD stuff that I work with. The extra attention has seemed to help in the quality of the work some guys do.
There are a few dentists in my area OTOH who do it just to stick letters on the end of their business card or title - i.e. John Brown, DMD, FAGD, LLC - in an effort to look like a more qualified/licensed dentist. It's both laughable and pathetic at the same time, and the state board here has called some of them out on it (which they should) since it's not a dental degree or specialty designation.
