We beat Utah St that year 6-3 with Taysom as the QB. I know Tanner didn't score against Michigan (who very well could end up the best defense in the country). Scoring 6 points against Utah St is much worse than getting blanked against Michigan IMO.

Tanner's freshman year is pretty similar (although frankly better to this point) than Ty Detmer's freshman year. I'm not saying he will become Ty, but that is where the comparisons are with freshman Tanner.
