I'll have to give the book a try. Loved the movie regardless of that blunder. It's still fun to see smart sci-fi hit the screen again. We've been spoiled with quite a few recently.

Ironic to think that both new Star Trek flicks, while entertaining, are a weaker-variety of sci-fi compared to these latest offerings.

I, for one, hope the trend continues.
