2 used to be true. Not as much once he opened his mind
and willfully expanded his own pool. Not to mention BYU has always been decent at evaluating underrated talent, something programs/coaches like BYU have to do... Although I can't say he's gotten better at placing emphasis on certain recruits. He's all over the board in that area.
