miserable.
I don't have the stats in front of me, but there were 4-5 games where they both had 10 or more pass attempts, a few where McMahon played nearly the whole game, and a few where Wilson played the entire game. Many times the QBs didn't know before a game whether they would play the entire game, alternate possessions, or alternate quarters.
McMahon may have received "accolades", but it was no secret that he was good. I guess it was nice that he had some experience, but was it worth dividing the locker room and nearly causing him to transfer? Plenty of great NFL QBs played 2 seasons in college without getting experience their first 2 years.
Anyway, here's what McMahon, who benefited from getting some playing time says now about English (at the end of the article)

While below is an article where Wilson expresses his love for the 2 QB system (third question of the Q&A):

Most football people will tell you that the only justification for a 2 QB system is when both aren't good and the coaches need more time to evaluate. On the other hand, when you have 2 good QBs who are both experienced, it's locker room suicide to alternate them.
Tanner is still young and learning, but to jerk him around after a full season as a starter, with a full offseason as the starter under his belt, would be a huge mistake. Don't mistake the RM sheen for acquiescence, he's competitive and wants to control the team. Let Taysom go and wish him well wherever he lands.
