Taysom is and will be welcome back no matter what. He's still a captain on this team. The team loves him and he loves them back. If he wants to come back, it's a done deal and the team and coaches will make it work.

On the other hand, it's not hard to see why Taysom would at least look around to see what his options are. Here are some possible reasons to consider:

1. He's got the medical red shirt and graduates in December. The situation lines up. Might as well at least look.

2. Taysom doesn't owe BYU any favors. I'm sure he's loved it here and that he'll be a BYU fan for life, but BYU botched his recruitment from the start and stupid coaching cost him his first season-ending injury.

2A. BYU's coaches suck at prepping players for the NFL.

3. He's already married (no need to stick around to find a wife).

4. Even though he's still way better than Tanner, maybe he doesn't want to impede Tanner's growth and divert the direction of the offense.

I definitely want him back. I hope he comes back and I think there's a really good chance he comes back. It will kill me to see him play in a different uniform but I'll respect whatever he does. I'm a Taysom fan for the long haul no matter what.
