I assume there's a "when he gets back from his injury" clause inferred. And also a "taking Tanner right where he's at now" clause too.
Taysom looked really good against Nebraska, but I didn't see enough to tell me he was way ahead of last year sort of good. He still had a lot to learn last year, particularly as a passer. He showed what appeared to be improvement over the course of 2/3rds of a game, but I still think we need to see more before we imply he's an elite collegiate QB. He wasn't that last year, so let's not get ahead of ourselves.
