You're making the claim that the game was competitive. That's not even the argument I was disputing.

Station42 claimed that Oregon almost lost. They didn't. Oregon won by 17 points. When Colorado cut Oregon's lead to 7 points with 9 minutes left, Oregon immediately responded with a touchdown drive. At no point in the 4th quarter did Colorado have the ball with the opportunity to tie, let alone take the lead.
