Scholarships: Edwards had more scholarships to give out - up until 1994 Edwards and all NCAA schools gave out 95 scholarships vs. Bronco's 85 scholarships. 10 scholarships is more than it sounds like - it means depth!
Missionaries: Edwards teams usually had between 20-25 RMs vs. Bronco's teams having 80 to 85 RMs as he has supported the RM program
SOS: Bronco plays not only more P5 schools than Edwards each year, but an overall stronger second tier. Former players of Edwards have stated they would give a WAC or MWC championship ring to play the schedules that Bronco's team play
Honor Code: Edwards former players have often stated they would not have been able to remain in school with today's honor code enforcement
Academics: Again, Edwards former players have stated they would not be able to get into BYU with today's academic standards
Average number of games played each year: Edwards had additional games due to the pre-season games and playing multiple years in Hawaii
