finished in the Top 25 twelve times. Five of those finishes were in the Top 10. In that same period of time, BYU has finished in the Top 25 ten times. One of those was in the Top 10.
Cougarpride suggested that there should be a "Championship Game" between the two highest ranked independent teams. That is most likely to be BYU and ND every year. I'm suggesting that if that occurs AND there is an 8-team playoff, then BYU will most likely have access to the championship and would no longer need to be a member of a conference.
