Current motivation for staying at 10 is all about money...
Having fewer pieces of the pie to carve up, etc.
They will certainly care about money when considering additional mouths to feed.
Now the debate on who brings more is separate from the fact that they will care about money (from top to bottom) in the conference when they make the decision of who to add.

From a $ standpoint, Memphis can't bring anywhere near the $ that BYU can to the conference. $ is driving expansions.
