and if I was a defensive coach I would get a film of every run that the LB made last year and have it playing on repeat for the players to see. I'd remind them during drills that that was what they are working for, sweating for, and killing themselves on the field for. Teams don't just wake up on gameday and say "Hey, look at this chip on my shoulder. Hmmm, interesting." They have a chip on their shoulder because the coaches are reminding them ever day what the media was saying last year, what happened on the field last year, and what could happen again this year.
