For those to young to remember, Edwards used the exact same philosophy
of business as usual, regardless who they were playing. As pointed out in the article, Edwards didn't want highs and lows resulting in losses in the next game(s) or play yourself out of the game you are involved in.
Despite having bad losses, without social media, Edwards came away without a scratch. In addition, Edwards used the bowl games as a reward in addition to his business as usual philosophy vs. working his teams to win the bowl game.
Not only is Bronco taking BYU to bowl games year-in and year-out, he is preparing his teams to win those games vs. just looking at it as a reward.
