So for all those cheering for the potential matchup, here's what needs to happen:

1. CU beats Utah
2. UCS beats UCLA (otherwise, Utah would remain at 5th in the standings, and would be picked up by the sun bowl. However, a BYU vs USC game is also appealing).
3. It would help (but not necessary) for WSU to beat Wash (otherwise Sun bowl could pick either Utah or WSU)
4. It would help (but not necessary) for Oregon to beat OSU...see rationale for #3. (I know, I know...this one is practically already in the books).
5. It would help (but not necessary) for BYU to beat USU.
6. Vegas decides to go with the matchup, all while facing probable complaints from Utah (at least the fan base) that they are P5 royalty and shouldn't be relegated to having to play BYU (which would be ranked higher at this point...if all of the above plays out).
