First column is if WSU wins the Apple Cup, Second Column is if Washington wins the Apple Cup
8-1 Stanford 8-1
7-2 Oregon 7-2
7-2 WSU 6-3
6-3 USC/UCLA Winner 6-3
6-3 Utah 6-3
5-4 USC/UCLA Loser 5-4
ASU
Cal
3-6 Washington 4-5
3-6 Arizona 3-6
SO .... now the bowls start to pick ....
Rose - Stanford
Alamo - Oregon
Holiday - Gets to pick between the highest available team AND the teams with ONE MORE LOSS ... and that is the critical point ....
IF WSU wins the Apple Cup, the Holiday gets to pick between 7-2 WSU and 6-3 UCLA/USC Winner and 6-3 Utah. If Washington wins, they pick between 6-3 WSU, 6-3 USC/UCLA Winner and 6-3 Utah.
I think the Holiday bowl, located in CA, is going to take the UCLA/USC winner in BOTH of those cases.
Next comes the Foster Farms bowl, ALSO located in California. IF WSU wins the Apple cup, they get to choose between 7-2 WSU and 6-3 Utah. On the other hand, if Washington wins the Apple Cup, the Foster Farms bowl gets to pick between 6-3 WSU, 6-3 Utah AND 5-4 USC/UCLA loser (and maybe 5-4 ASU).
IF they can (i.e. Washington wins Apple Cup), I think the Foster Farms Bowl takes 5-4 USC/UCLA loser over small school WSU or remote Utah. If they can't (i.e. they only have WSU and Utah to choose between), then I think they probably take Utah over small school WSU, but I'm not sure.
Then Comes the Sun Bowl ... They get WSU if WSU is still on the Board, OR Utah, USC/UCLA loser (if Foster didn't get them), or ASU if WSU is NOT on the board..... They took ASU last year, so ASU is probably not their first choice this year, but who knows. They probably either get WSU or Utah. I think if they are allowed to CHOOSE between 6-3 WSU and 6-3 Utah, they pick Utah because Utah is alot closer and alot bigger. If 7-2 Apple Cup winning WSU is there, I think they have to take them.
