All he said was that he'd be signing on Feb. That that he didn't want to sign early so he could take a bunch of visits.
You're just trying to connect the last little bit of your sentence, about hearing from schools, to the first part, in order for it to make sense. But he just didn't say that. You just made half of that up by taking clips out of context and adding them together.
I don't think he'd just come out with "oh, yeah I don't qualify right now so I need to wait."
