O'Reilly is right that if you interview only Reagan loyalists, you aren't going to get an unbiased view. They all will tell you how great he is and hide anything at all that is bad. On the other hand, George Will seemed to show that O'Reilly cited sources that Dugard and O'Reilly both never actually saw and based much of the book on one particular source that may not be entirely trustworthy. I'm not sure who to believe, but I don't think O'Reilly set out to trash Reagan in anyway. He makes it quite clear that his book is a laudatory one.
