Good for him if he had a 4.0 and got into those places but chose to go to USU instead, even if it's not the best move, it's cool that he loves USU so much that he still chose to go there.
But can you honestly defend his " Mitch Matthews" is a despicable human being comment? I can see how Mitch might come across as cocky and arrogant, a lot of football players do. But that in no way makes him a despicable human being, your friend doesn't know Mitch and if you are being reasonable you would admit that's a comment that is not accurate and that your friend should not have made. Especially since Mitch went out of his way to praise USU fans after the game. Can you admit your friend went over the line with that comment?
And let's be honest here, you are hardly objective when it comes to BYU, do you think it's possible you are seeing things you want to see to confirm your bias? It's human nature to do this. There were nowhere near as many personal fouls as you seem to think, and they were not as bad as you seem to think. I think your bias makes you perceive things to be worse than they actually were, but it's ok, most fans are guilty of this from time to time, myself included. But it's a good thing to recognize it.
Be objective, Davis was clearly blocked into the guy on the punt, watch the play again, the announcers clearly noticed it on TV. As for taunting the home crowd, it's probably not as bad as you claim, and the players were probably being taunted plenty by USU fans, do you deny this?
Personally you just wish the church would can BYU football? Does this not say it all about your ability or lack there of to be objective when it comes to BYU? And what does it say about you and USU fans like your friend mentioned in the original post to make the judgments about players and fans you clearly don't know anything about? Do you think you might come across as hypocritical and like a jerk?
You feel you need to give us a hard time? Do you think it says good things about you if you feel you need to give other people you know very little or nothing about a hard time?
Btw the nut punch was clearly an accident, he was going for the ball and missed.
