said Mitch is All-American or a first round draft pick or that he will even be drafted. Did he struggle to get open at times. Yes! Was every game clutch? No! Again, I'm going off over- all performance. At least 3 of those recievers you say Tanner will be fine with were on the roster this year. Why not throw more their way this year instead of throwing to an underperforming senior? By the way, I like all those recievers and glad we'll have them.

You nor I obviously aren't in the locker room and don't know about conversations between coaches and players. My opinion whether other team leaders have been called out or not is pure conjecture. I'm guessing yours is as well.

I have watched BYU sports for 35 years now. I'm 45. I can only remember a handful of games that our best players played extremely well against big-time programs that led to a win. Almost all the stats or records held any player at BYU is against so called inferior competition.

Again, we may differ in our definition of clutch and my definition may be wrong, but when I look back on this season 5 years from now Mitch Mathews will be one player I will remember as a very key player/leader that helped lead his team to a 9-3 record under some pretty difficult circumstances. That to me is clutch.
