BYU has never been a perennial top 25 team.
Not with a legendary coach and NFL QB's running through the system one right after the other.

They've had runs of a few years a couple of times. I think the only time BYU ended the season ranked without an NFL QB was 1996.

Bronco had one of those runs -- the last time he had NFL level QB's stay healthy.

He has another that looks like an NFL level QB thrown into battle early.

And BYU wins the bowl game, they may end the season ranked.

It's not a coincidence.

BTW -- BYU recruits and has the resources of a 50-ish level team. Spitting out a 35-ish team is overachieving for BYU's resources.
