of a 3 TD loss to BYU. It is literally inconceivable to them. They KNOW with absolute surety that their team is better than those self righteous, hypocritical Cougars. BYU simply could not have beaten them so soundly.

So they have to invent some narrative that makes the outcome more palatable. Since the game came down to that one play, the win by BYU was a fluke, and really USU should have won.

I have heard Aggie fans say similar things about every BYU victory for the last several years. That is why, in their minds, USU has a 10+ win streak over BYU. And this game didn't break that steak.

It's really quite sad.
