I can't believe I'll defend him (to a certain point), but here goes....
It was a huge momentum changer.
Having said that, BYU could very well have taken the lead on the first possession of the second half and just rolled. We don't know.
Not as big a momentum swing as the Kaelin Clay fumble for Yewtah against Oregon, but still a momentum-swinger. After both the Clay and the Keaton fumble, everyone knew who was going to win the game.
