I'm not saying the 9-3 record suggests anything negative about this year's team or the program in general.

What I'm saying is that while there are positives to take away from this season, and reasons for optimism going forward, going 9-3 against that schedule is not one of them.

I think our program long ago established that it is easily good enough to go 9-3 against a schedule filled with so many sub-par teams. So I don't celebrate it because it's not a revelation to me. But maybe it is a revelation for you, which is fine. But I find it disappointing that it's apparently newsworthy to so many fans.
