You're Wrong
These players in the Dleague are all passing up Europe for the small dollars (only 25K/yr) of the DLeague. They are passing up those much bigger $'s in Europe (like Jimmer did), with the main idea being their hopes of getting back to the NBA, and the only way they are going to do that is to perform well, and to show what they can do so, both on offense and on defense.

In fact, they probably try a lot harder than many of the fat cats in the NBA who already have huge contracts, many of them for just riding the bench, and running around the floor for a few minutes, and getting a little sweaty. Most of them are not in jeopardy of losing their big contracts', and are frequently not as hungry (literally) as a lot of the players in the Dleague are, like Jordan Bachinski, Travis Trice, Perry Jones, Sean Kilpatrick, and Ricky Ledo, none of whom intend to rest on their 25K/yr for very long, when they could have a nice job at Mcdonald's for about the same per year.

NBA coaches may not watch these games much, but the Dleague keeps the same stats on the same platform as NBAstats.com, and coaches are watching to see which players are showing true NBA potential, for call-up when they have roster needs. The Dleague is not just a notch up from "intermurals," as some suggest, as most of these players were stars on their respective NCAA teams, or in Europe, and about 33% of the players now in the NBA (with contracts) were once Dleague players.
