I also think it is kind of stupid and hope that Utah doesn't raise any banners for this lame accomplishment. If we did that, we would be just as bad as BYU.

In 2003, BYU finished the men's basketball season 11-3 in conference. BYUCougars.com says of this season, "BYU earned their 26th conference title, going 11-3 in MWC games along with Utah." The only problem is that BYU lost to Utah twice that year. BYU lost the tie breaker since both teams were 11-3, with Utah winning both head to head matchups. Utah got the number 1 seed in the conference tournament, BYU got the #2 seed. I poked fun at BYU because they cut down the nets in their final home game; Utah didn't tear down the goalposts on Saturday after claiming a "Co Championship" with USC despite losing the tiebreaker.

So feel free to critique Utah after you take down your own championship banner. If Utah does put up a banner, I hope they are at least honest enough with themselves to put "2015 Pac 12 South Co Champs," as opposed to BYU who has the 2002-2003 season listed as an outright conference championship.
