Besides cutting the field in half and tee'ing himself up to an OLB or safety sitting on the tendency to roll right, he is cheating himself out of learning to throw on time and trusting his OL to create a pocket and create throwing lanes. Right now he either doesn't trust his receivers to break open at the right moment or doesn't trust the accuracy of his arm to put the ball where it needs to be. By rolling out, he can see better what is in front of him and not worry about passes getting batted down. And obviously he feels comfortable letting it fly when he is on the run.
In the Spring, Beck can show him proof in game film that he is actually better from the pocket and he has the talent on the OL to give him time to throw. It will be interesting next season to see if he can get enough reps in the offseason to break that habit.
