He was signed by Atlanta purely so he could mentor Michael Vick, and Vick has said in interviews that he learned a lot from Ty and wishes he had listened to him more.
Ty has also talked about how at the high school level he's not really able to "really teach" quarterbacks how to play the game because they are not far enough along and do not have the ability yet. I am hopeful that he ends up being a guru among gurus because his resume and the information between the lines of both his and others comments about him seem to indicate he could be.
