I haven't seen a single person make the claim that the Favre anecdote - by itself - means that Ty's an awesome coach.

I have, however, seen that story combined with piles of additional data points - such as Ty's actual coaching and teaching of others from the NFL to high school - put forward as reasons to be hopeful.

You should have just posted your advice to moderate our expectations initially, which is good counsel.
