Rose's teams live and die by the shot and the play of his guards, which generally are very very good. However, when you lack an inside game, when you lack bigs, the pressure goes to your small game. The pressure sits on your PG, SG...and well, that's what Rose's teams are...a lot of guards and/or forwards that like to shoot.

I'm a big Rose fan. I do think his most glaring issue since being a HC is the lack of Bigs and the development of their inside game. You are simply going to lose some and you're team isn't going to be able to get them all. In fact, you're likely going to be the type of team that can beat anyone when you're hot and lose to anyone when you're not.

Other issues (lack of defense, mental lapses on offense, etc) are related to the unbalanced system.

I can't criticize Nick or any of the other Guards...because without an inside game, they are exposed.

I hope to see a turn around in this area, but I am concerned...because it's the one area that hasn't seemed to improve.
