On the issue of PG I have been preaching this for two years. I don't know that we have a PG for next year. I have suggested that Rose thin the roster at the conclusion of this season. Earlier I suggested that Toolson and Calvert would not get much time next season and both are now gone. I had high hopes for Aytes but he has not panned out and perhaps he would be better at a lower division school where he would not lose any eligibility. I am not convinced that Shaw is going to ever get any significant minutes. I know everyone got excited about Hartsock but he is a one trick pony that will hit a few three pointers but not give you much at the four. Full evaluation is still out so I would not jettison him.
Once you free up some scholarships I think he needs to look for a quick PG at the JC level. We have gone that route in the past. We need someone that can do two things: 1) stay in front of opposing guards; and 2) penetrate off the dribble to break down the defense.
Next season you have Bryant and Haws joining Emery and Chatman as the guards on the team. From what I have seen of Bryant he is another Collinsworth with a better outside shot. But with Mika, Dastrup and Childs coming in we need to be able to utilize the front court.
