The kids in this country who are the least "sheltered" are statistically the most unsuccessful. Studies continually bear this out. What you are actually arguing is that a moderate amount of sheltering is best. My guess is that even you were relatively sheltered, despite your desire to think otherwise. You can argue where the line to "too sheltered" actually is, but what you just put forth is ridiculous.
