Fail..look up the avg. home price etween 1976-1978 and the cost of a BMW
And compare that to what median/mean income was..it's not close....I've posted on this before... home and autos today are much more expensive today compared to median income then. Iow is dollar bought. Ore a d be had more discretionary income then by fsr...which is why he and others also took more vacations that wrre bigger too.
