I think it creates a weird precedent. During my internship with EY, some of the
BYU guys wanted the firm to pay for their wife to travel with them. I think the BYU guys had this expectation partly because of how how involved the wife was during recruiting at BYU.
On the other hand, I appreciated having my wife attend a couple of the recruiting events at BYU. It was very important to me then. Now, that I'm 10 years into my professional career, it's much less important to me.
