If you have 2 or 3 show that you love, buy them. It is cheaper than $60-80/mo for cable.
It's true that the biggest change is live sports, which is really the only thing keeping cable/sat afloat, BTW.
I pay $100/yr for Amazon Prime and $96/yr for Netflix, plus some per episode purchases here and there. I save about $500/yr. The kids don't care. The HCBW doesn't care. We all get a little less TV and a lot more time to do other things. Life is good. It is better without a ton of TV, don't you think?
