I have an older TiVo Premiere, but if I were buying now I would definitely get
the TiVo Bolt because of the automatic commercial skip feature and a few other new features that my Premiere doesn't have.
The only downside to the Bolt (and most Tivos) is that you pay a $15/month service fee after the first year. TiVo isn't the cheapest alternative, but it's the best DVR alternative by far.
