BYU had three games in the middle of the Pacific ocean. There is no way they
Could have played ANY wcc conference games that week. None. The WCC had to start that week.
Doing the schedule this way is the only way it could have worked. If the WCC didnt have BYU playing san diego in the first released schedule and played two games it would have been a total disaster.
Are you suggesting that it was by chance that the WCC luckily schedule the first week of the season to have BYU with a bye?
