the 1.5x points exchange when you buy tickets in their travel portal. That is an amazing deal. I use the freedom card to get 5% on the quarterly categories, transfer those points over to the preferred, and then buy tickets with them and turn them into 7.5%. All other purchases go on my preferred card.

Because of the amount of traveling I do, the $90 fee is still worth it.
