some money every paycheck into a taxable account for each of my kids. Each of them has a few thousand in their account, which is not enough to keep them on track to have enough for college. I gave both of my kids a raise yesterday- bumped it up to $200/month/kid.

But I do want to open some tax advantaged account for this. Looking at the options out there, I think a 529 might be my only real option now.
