Help me understand what you can understand
How are we to interpret the virtue of a student who turns down $ from his parent, but accepts or is willing to accept $ from the government? What, precisely, is virtuous about that?
If I decline money from my family so that I qualify for foodstamps, is that "getting help from anyone but my parents" supposed to be a good thing?
